This was such a fun look to shoot because I mean LOOK at these sleeeeeves!!! So FUN! This top was a bit of a splurge for me (even on sale) but I had not bought any spring clothes yet because we were focused on our ski trip to Utah, so I was still in winter mode. I saw this top on the sale rack and went for it and it made me feel so girly and fab when I put it on. I don’t know if I would wear it out to dinner because the sleeves really are that big, but it is perfect for going out for drinks or a coffee date.
We recently moved to Columbia, SC which is the capital of South Carolina. I had a blast exploring around my new city and the capitol building with Molly Koon Photography. She is so sweet and fun to work with. I recently bought these jeans and heels on major sale as statement pieces for spring. A good pair of high waisted jeans and nude pumps can be the foundation of so many outfits. Jeans and a tee and sandals… jeans and a blouse and heels… nude heels and a cute sundress… nude heels are also perfect for a great work look and these are very comfortable. I had to size half a size down in the shoes and I am wearing a 27/30 in these jeans (I am 5’5″ by the way). You can create so many outfit combinations off just these two closet staples.
Now this adorable top… How to justify splurging on a piece like this? (and maybe its not a splurge for you, but I am always on a budget). It can be worn for almost any occasion and in different ways. Obviously this was my first choice in styling it, but I would also wear it with white jeans, tucked in to a cute skirt, or with denim shorts in the summer. (I am loving these denim shorts right now) I am wearing an XS in this top for reference. If red isn’t your color, it also comes in black, ivory, and teal. I also styled it with my favorite pair of simple gold earrings. I have worn these with so many outfits for a pop of shine and they are very light so I can wear them all day at work without my ears hurting.
